Started in yixing with 5.4g. Did ten steeps. Last couple at 5-10 minutes. Did first kettle brew at just under boil. Left a half inch of water and refilled with another 800-1000ml. Both brews have been pretty solid. Pouring into a gdb and sharing as we go. Flavor is hard to describe, maybe cinnimon/baking spices plus a good bit of sweetness with a little astringency?
Good stuff, nice aftertaste. I think it works because the underlying material is better. But will experiment more. Winter is coming and boiling tea seems well suited for the cold months.
